I might have even enjoyed this one more than The Secret Hour.
Sono davvero dolcissimi, mi piacciono da morire. Touching Darkness is a heady mix of teenage angst and drama, coupled with almost adult issues of war and betrayal. The darklings are a also bigger threat and appear to be growing in strength, biding their time until they are able to strike and take over the midnight hour.
But none of them actually seem to get along, and they’re not even slightly working together. I could imagine a younger me really loving them.
Rex is also a favorite, just because his personality stands out. Jessica is being stalked by some unknown party. Nothing beats the ending line. Jess finally gets a chance to use her powers more in this book. In the mean time, Dess discovers Madeline, the only Midnighter from her generation still in existence. I feel horrible that Dess doesn’t have anyone. That makes no sense. Preview — Touching Darkness by Scott Westerfeld. I like it But it took me too long to finish this, since I read atleast 4 books in interval.
That whole plot point was interesting but occasionally hard to keep up with. Perhaps that decision of his makes me put only three stars. I realized that I remembered very little about the first it’s been a couple of years other than the basic details that they were kids, born at the stroke of midnight, fighting ancient evil.
Not a bad followup.
I can’t wait to read the next one. The language was vamped up in this one more so than the last. For some reason I feel like Jonathan and the peerless Dess would work just great: Jessica is clearly outshadowed by the amazing Melissa or Dess Possiamo conoscere in anticipo il nostro futuro? For some reason, despite the corny nature of it, the ending sentence just made my heart so happy.
This was just okay to me. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Se nel primo capitolo della serie sono stati per me fonte di confusione, in questo qui li ho trovati meravigliosi.
The writing is fine, the plot moves along well, there are several tense situations and last-minute rescues, and the antagonists are creepy. Following the conclusion of the first book, Midnighter: I guess it’s realistic that they’re not taking charge and forming into a super-cohesive Justice League, but sort of shilly-shallying about being teens. Mar 18, Eureca Laurice rated it really liked it Shelves: I delitti della Sardegna.
Rex becomes part darkling. It was like westerfepd the first book all over again but with a different enemy.

Apr 27, Andrea rated it liked it Shelves: And at least two of them are placed in great danger they never saw coming! Not in the can’t-finish-at-all sense its crazy easy to read, like most of Westerfeld’s worksbut in the sense of plot and characters. I hope Jessica gets some more action, too.
I think I’m most curious as to what’s going sella happen with Rex. They are conspiring with the darklings to replace their halfling, Anathea, who is dying. Jan 18, Naomi rated it it was amazing. Dess and all of her weapons.
It is most definitely a worthwhile read!
